Haya is a third-year medical student at the University of Arizona College of Medicine Phoenix. As an undergraduate student, she found guidance through AMSA. She grew personally and professionally through the mentorship and leadership opportunities that AMSA provides. She is planning on caring the legacy of advocating for patients’ health, autonomy and safety throughout the rest of her career. Haya believes that mentorship is important at any stage of training. She aspires to be the best mentor to the next generation. She wants to use her experience with AMSA to instill advocacy and leadership skills in her peers and mentees.
Outside of medicine, she loves to spend time with her family. Her niece and nephew are the biggest joy in her life. She enjoys running and listening to mystery podcasts.
