I AM A LOOKING TO GO

Hannah Hendrix

Immediate Past President

Hannah is a fourth-year medical student at The Ohio State University College of Medicine and is AMSA’s immediate Past president. Hannah has been a national leader with AMSA since 2017, serving in both action committee and membership roles before joining the Board of Trustees and serving as National President from 2021-2022.

Hannah believes that AMSA’s emphasis on advocacy is essential for shaping the kind of physician we need: the kind who uses their collective voice to advocate for patients. At her home institution, she takes an active role in helping select future colleagues with this potential as a member of the OSUCOM admissions committee. Her areas of special advocacy interest are access to health care, reproductive justice, and medical education reform.

Hannah is an aspiring Emergency Medicine physician with a background in social justice. She graduated from Wright State University with her undergraduate degrees in Biological Sciences and Women, Gender, and Sexuality Studies.

Outside of AMSA, Hannah has been involved in Med Students for Choice and is a student representative and interviewer on OSUCOM’s admissions committee. In her free time, Hannah enjoys reading, hiking, trying out new DIY projects, and singing.
