Program Overview
Global health addresses the key tenets of health care on a global scale. Complex interdependent relationships of health systems that transcend national boundaries are of special interest in sustaining global health initiatives within and between countries. Continuous shifts in the global economy and population dynamics have dramatically increased the demand for healthcare professionals with global health expertise. By delivering lectures from top leaders in the field, the Global Health Scholars Program (GHSP) will encourage scholars to drive change and make positive impacts in underserved communities worldwide.

Why will I LOVE this Program?
This Scholars Program brings together individuals from across the country who are passionate about exploring best practices in improving health outcomes, reducing disparities, and preventing global threats. Students will explore topics that bring together the fields of public health, economics, epidemiology, and medicine through a survey course taught by experts with an array of clinical and research experience. At the end of the course, students will become knowledgeable in global health topics and subsequently, more effective and compassionate physicians.
